COMPASS, launched in January 2025, is a student-led organization based at the UC Santa Cruz Coastal Science Campus. This group serves graduate and undergraduate students at UCSC and was developed to facilitate and coordinate mentorship and professional development activities as a way to meet student career needs. Activities may include:

  • Mock Interview Support
  • Grant Writing Support
  • Road to Employment: Securing Government or Academic Faculty Jobs
  • Regular Co-working hours
  • Periodic Happy Hours/Coffee Gatherings
  • Suggestions/feedback welcome
